Holyrood and lots of walking 4.6.2025

 Started the day with smoked salmon and avocado. 


Then on to Holyrood Palace, the residence of the monarch when in Scotland. So much history that you have to read for yourself. One tidbit - got to see where Rizzio was murdered! He was secretary to Mary, Queen of Scots. 
As expected, the palace was designed to impress - no pics allowed inside, here are some of exteriors.




After all that splendor, on to the People’s Museum, where I got to see the other side of life 



After lunch, on to Dovecot Studio - a beautiful converted public bath house, that is now home to weaving studio.



The pic below shows the start of a tapestry that was commissioned for the 600th anniversary of Oxford University. 

Off to fish and chips for dinner.



And so to bed.
